Top Ten Sequels I Can't Wait To Get My Hands On

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted at The Broke and the Bookish.

1. The Fiery Heart (Bloodlines #4) by Richelle Mead
Expected publication: November 19th 2013
There are no words to describe how obsessed I am with this series. Though the last book didn't quite meet my expectations like the rest did, I'm still so very eager to read the upcoming books in the series.

Expected publication: November 19th 2013
I think I'm one of the first 300 people who got into this fandom about two years ago. I couldn't recommend this enough to my peers, but I'm just so happy now that it finally got the attention it deserves. And even happier that this will be released this month!

3. Champion (Legend #3) by Marie Lu
Expected publication: November 5th 2013
I know this releases today *happy dance* but I probably won't be able to read this until next week. I also hope the ending works out well for everyone, unlike some other dystopian books there. *coughcough*

4. Cress (Lunar Chronicles #3) by Marissa Meyer
Expected publication: February 4th 2014
This series is my newest found obsession and it's what got me into reading more fairy tale retellings. I literally love EVERYTHING about books 1 and 2. The plot, the characters... it's perfect!

5. Split Second (Pivot Point #2) by Kasie West
Expected publication: February 11th 2014
Now this is one of the most surprising reads of the year for me. I've never really read other stories with parallel universes so this was very new to me.

6. Ruin and Rising (The Grisha #3) by Leigh Bardugo
Expected publication: June 3rd 2014
I'm excited to read this but I'm also very nervous about it. I already have an OTP and I'm worried that they might not get together in the end. I'll probably get depressed the rest of my life if it happens. :(

7. Into the Still Blue (Under the Never Sky #3) by Veronica Rossi
Expected publication: January 28th 2014
I already have an ARC of this (thanks to Harper and Edelweiss!) and though I'm very much excited to read it, I'm also scared and I hate that Perry and Aria's story is finally going to end. :(

8. Untitled (The Raven Cycle #3) by Maggie Stiefvater
Expected publication: 2014
It's sad that this doesn't have a cover nor a title yet. It reminds me that it's still so far out of my reach. I haven't actually read The Dream Thieves yet. I ordered a copy from Book Depository a week before TDT's release but PhilPost sucks so it never arrived. But I finally bought a kindle copy so yay!

9. Untitled (The Queen's Thief #5) by Megan Whalen Turner
Expected publication: N/A

Looking at the goodreads page of The Raven Cycle #3 makes me sad but looking at this book's page depresses me. The Queen's Thief is an all-time favorite series of mine and it sucks that the books get released 4-6 years after the other and judging by the pattern of the books's release dates, this won't probably hit the shelves until 2016.

10. Untitled (Rithmatist #2) by Brandon Sanderson
Expected publication: 2015
Here's another Sanderson series that I fell in love with. This is not as popular among the Sanderson fans but I really like his YA's. What I can't get into is his more mature fantasy novels.

  1. Cress is first on my list. I forgot to add 'World After' to my list. And 'Champion' is not there only because I am lazy and haven't read Prodigy yet.
There are a lot of awesome ya fantasy series on your list that I haven't read but plan to correct that mistake soon. Like: Rithmatist, Under the Never Sky, Grisha, ....

  2. Lots of awesome books on your list, and we've got a lot in common. I still need to start both Pivot Point and Under the Never Sky, but I really want to read them both, because they sound so good. It sucks that you haven't got your copy of The Dream Thieves! I hope you get it soon and enjoy it :)

  3. Great picks! I still have to read many of these, especially Ee's books. I heard so many great things about them :)
    Happy reading!

  4. CHAMPION IS RELEASED TODAY CHAMPION IS RELEASED TODAY CHAMPION IS RELEASED TODAY AHHHHHH =D

I must read Angelfall this month or I'll probably crumble under all the peer pressure. Almost all my friends have read and loved this book, and the agonizing wait for a sequel has made them all go cray-cray!

Hope you'll get to reading these books soon =)

  5. I finally got myself a copy of the Rithmatist -- now I just need time to read it! I haven't read any of the others on your list, but I do love that cover for Cress -- I should probably give that series a try. These all sound great! I hope you enjoy them all!

  15. I'm one of the relative late comers to the fandom of Angelfall, but I'm so glad I read it because it is amazing. I'm so glad World After releases soon! I haven't read the Queen's Thief series but I can imagine how frustrating it is to wait for 4-6 years for the next installment in a series. Sometimes the 1-year wait is even too long, but 4-6 years!! I hope you get to read Into the Still Blue (I know I wouldn't be able to wait if I had an ARC). Thanks for stopping by my TTT.
