Top Ten Books I Would Love To See As A Movie/TV Show

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

This week's topic is Top Ten Books I Would Love to See As A Movie/TV Show (set in a perfect world...in which movies don't butcher the books we love.) Yeah because if movie adaptations do not murder every book adapted into film, that would be great.

1. The Rithmatist by Brandon Sanderson - I am in love with this book! You know that feeling the moment you start reading a book and you just start relaxing because you know it's going to be good? Yes, The Rithmatist is like that. I'm curious to see if the characters will be able to pull off the chalk drawings and the battles and of course, the CGI!

2. Unwind by Neal Shusterman - If I remember correctly, this has already been optioned for film years ago but I haven't heard of any updates since then. Unwind is one of the first dystopian books I've read and is also one of my favorites right up there with The Hunger Games so it will probably crush me if the movie murdered the book.

3. Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson - Unlike the rest of the books in this list, I actually didn't like Mistborn. However, I loved the world Brandon created here - the magic, the fight scenes... I would love to see those in the big screen.

4. Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi - And the sequel, Through the Ever Night, too! And maybe once I read the last book in the trilogy, I'd want to see it as a TV show.

5. Graffiti Moon by Cath Crowley - Is the only realistic fiction in this list and is also one of my favorite contemps. I want to see this as a movie because I want to see Shadow's paintings in real life. Would be much better if the actor can pull off his paintings hee~

6. Cinder by Marissa Meyer - Ever since I read this book, I haven't stopped praying to the gods and goddesses of the book to movie adaptations that this would be made into a film. I loooove the world of Cinder and I'm very interested to see how Cinder and Kai would look like in real life as well as the androids and Queen Levana. I'd like to see how their glamour looks like. Also, Captain Thorne.

7. The Queen of Attolia and 8. The King of Attolia by Megan Whalen Turner - If you know me well enough, it's not a secret that The Queen's Thief series is my all time favorite series evaaar! Needless to say, I want to see these books as a TV show because 1.) Eugenides 2.) Irene 3.) Eugenides' wit 4.) Eugenides x Irene 5.) The storyline 6.) The setting 7.) Repeat 1-7.

9. Finnikin of the Rock by Melina Marchetta - One of the most intense high fantasy books I have ever read. It's depressing and kinda tragic. The characters are not my favorite but I loved the plot and the surprises that came along with it. If this were to be made into a film/TV show, I'm expecting a high-budget studio to adopt this.

10. Pivot Point by Kasie West - Yes, please! Pivot Point is one of the most surprising reads for me this year. I loved the storyline but I loved the characters even better! I would love to see how the actors would portray the characters.

  4. Under the Never Sky would make a great movie as would Cinder. I'm not sure if a movie though would be able to do Megan Whalen Turner's books justice.
