My WoW:
Timekeeper (Timeless #2)
by Alexandra Monir
Hardcover, 288 pages
Expected publication: January 8th 2013 by Delacorte Books for Young Readers
From Goodreads:
When Philip Walker appears as a new student in Michele Windsor's high school class, she is floored. He is the love she thought she lost forever when they said goodbye during her time travels last century. Overjoyed that they can resume the relationship they had a lifetime ago, Michele eagerly approaches him and discovers the unthinkable: he doesn't remember her. In fact, he doesn't seem to remember anything about the Philip Walker of 1910.
Michele then finds her father's journals, which tell stories of his time-traveling past. As she digs deeper, she learns about his entanglement with a mysterious and powerful organization called the Time Society and his dealings with a vengeful Windsor ancestor. Michele soon finds herself at the center of a rift over 120 years in the making, one whose resolution will have life-or-death consequences.
Alexandra Monir's Timekeeper combines breathtaking romance with a tale of complex magic in a sequel that will have every reader believing in the transcendent power of love.
YOU GUYS. I almost died at the end of Timeless. Timekeeper was supposed to be published on January 2012 but for some reason, - albeit an awful one - it was moved to December 2012 AND it got moved again to January 2013. Seriously? 2 years? *pulls hair out*
Love the cover! I have heard of this series before but I haven't thought of picking it up. :)
ReplyDeleteOkay, I still haven't read Timeless! If only I could clone myself and make my clone engage in real life, I'd have all the time in the world to read :)
ReplyDeleteI need to read Timeless now to get caught up. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read Timeless but I've heard great things about it. I hope you enjoy it when it comes out. Great pick!
ReplyDeleteCome check out my WOW post.
Wow, 2 years in between books? That's a very long time to wait! The longest I've waited for a book I was absolutely dying for was 17 months and that almost gave me an ulcer. SO HARD TO WAIT! Glad I have time to get caught up on book 1 before this comes out though!
ReplyDeleteWaiting for sequels is slow torture in my opinion ;) I read the first one so long ago and can barely remember it now, but I know I mostly enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to book 2! Great pick, Chel. :)
ReplyDeleteI still haven't read Timeless. This does sounds good too. Great pick..

I know, it's awful :( I loved Timeless and I'm definitely looking forward to this one.
ReplyDeleteMy WoW.
Forgive me. I can't relate (yet!) I still haven't read Timeless but it's always been in my wishlist. I don't know WHY I haven't read it yet. But it really sounds good. I like the time-travel and romantic elements so I'm pretty sure that if I ever get the chance to spot a copy of this, I'll give it a shot. Nice pick!
ReplyDeleteA great cover and pick.

WHAT? IT GOT MOVED? NOOO! I HATE LIFE! *dies* I wasn't a HUGE fan of Timeless, simply because I thought everything could have been more developed, but I loooved the idea and I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT! DAMMIT 2013, COME FASTER ALREADY! Sorry about all the caps, but I seriously did NOT know it got moved! *hmph* Well, at least we'll both suffer together! ;) Awesome pick this week, Chel - this is DEFINITELY something I'm waiting on!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read Timeless but it does sound interesting. Then after reading the blurb of Timekeeper I think I'm more inclined to pick it up! It's a little awful though that it was moved for almost another year. Let's hope the wait would be totally worth it. Great pick, Chel. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, two years between release dates is a bit much. Poor you! I hope this sequel lives up to your long expectation! I haven't read the first book myself, so that's why I am curious.
