Later that day, we went to the grocery and she asked me if I wanted to stop by the bookstore. I just gave her this weird look because I'm supposed to be on a book buying ban but she just answered it with an even weirder look. And that was simply how I got these two inspite of the ban.

(Jun 28th 2011) After we paid, I asked her, "I thought I wasn't supposed to buy books until the end of the month?" which she replied with, "Then why did you buy those?" :(( Whatever happened to her - whether the dementia kicked in or she just wasn't serious about the ban, I'm kinda annoyed by it.

I just recently bought Wither and Entwined, too, but I'm so swamped with review copies that most likely I won't get to read them until Christmas! :)

Lol, sometimes I can't understand my parents either. I've got Entwined on my wishlist and Lisa Schroeder is a great author so I'm sure you'll enjoy The Day Before.

ReplyDeleteI went through my bookcase last week and pulled out all the books I hadn't read yet... the stack was much larger than I anticipated. So now I'm on a self-imposed book buying ban. It's no fun, but I have to read the ones I already have! Glad you got some new books!

She's all for me having a blog, but then she'll abruptly change her mind and threaten to take away my laptop if I don't focus on schoolwork at random points in time.
